Avijit BanerjeeSenior Consultant

Having spent over 30 years at various CEO, COO and board level positions in India, Japan, Thailand, China and Europe, across both the industrials and automotive sectors, I have also led a number of cross border transactions and joint ventures. Previously I was CEO and President of the holding company for Techno Metal (Japan and Thailand) and Asahi Metals (Japan). My experience includes business planning and strategy, post-merger integration and corporate planning, market assessment and evaluating product entry strategies. With my long standing industry experience, I look forward to drive Churchgate Partners growth in India especially across key sectors. In a world which is increasingly internationally connected across customers, financing  and strategy, leveraging global corporate relationships becomes a true competitive advantage. I graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Banaras Hindu University although no academic education could have ever prepared me for the cultural and business challenges of leading a high profile Japanese manufacturing company for many years.

Churchgate (Marathi: चर्चगेट) is an area in downtown South Mumbai (formerly Bombay). The local station gets its name from Church Gate street (now Veer Nariman Road) which lies just south of the station. During the 18th and up to the mid 19th century, Bombay was a walled city with three gates; Church Gate, named after St. Thomas Cathedral in Mumbai, was one of the gates.
