  • Everyday at Churchgate brings me a new professional challenge. Successfully implementing investor relations strategies for our clients across our key operating regions not only requires capital markets experience but passion across time zones. I founded Churchgate Partners in 2009 after a career as a Managing Director at Merrill Lynch in London. Over 15 years in investment banking, I advised clients on corporate and private equity transactions across M&A, leverage finance, IPOs and secondary equity offerings. Previous work experience has included Arthur Andersen, SG Warburg and McKinsey. Building and mentoring a talented and dedicated team at Churchgate, along with international Chairman and CEO level meetings, has been exceptionally satisfying. Although it was hard work, my years in Philadelphia were also fun where I received my MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. I never directly applied my Masters of Electrical Engineering from Imperial College, University of London, but I am still glad I learnt to think like an engineer. Watching different live sports is always fun, particularly when Chelsea win!

Churchgate (Marathi: चर्चगेट) is an area in downtown South Mumbai (formerly Bombay). The local station gets its name from Church Gate street (now Veer Nariman Road) which lies just south of the station. During the 18th and up to the mid 19th century, Bombay was a walled city with three gates; Church Gate, named after St. Thomas Cathedral in Mumbai, was one of the gates.
