As capital markets enter a period of unprecedented change, investor preferences and regulatory environments have become highly dynamic on a global basis. Knowledge of market and investor requirements is a core focus for Churchgate and being able to translate that into value for corporate issuers is our goal. With over 20 years of capital market experience at global banks Bankers Trust, Merrill Lynch and Bank of America and more recently corporate debt and equity advisory experience at Evercore and STJ Advisors, using lessons of the past and being able to anticipate investor behaviour gels with Churchgate’s value proposition. Now residing in New Zealand, I lead Churchgate’s southern expansion by providing local clients with connectivity to the ever changing global capital markets.

Churchgate (Marathi: चर्चगेट) is an area in downtown South Mumbai (formerly Bombay). The local station gets its name from Church Gate street (now Veer Nariman Road) which lies just south of the station. During the 18th and up to the mid 19th century, Bombay was a walled city with three gates; Church Gate, named after St. Thomas Cathedral in Mumbai, was one of the gates.
