Vivek has over 25 years of corporate and entrepreneurial experience in the retail, consumer and fashion sectors. He worked for Mexx and Sara Lee until 2005 where he held various CxO positions managing acquisitions made by Sara Lee in Europe. As CEO of Courtaulds clothing he managed manufacturing businesses in China, India, Sri Lanka and Morocco. In 2006 he joined the founding team of FR2 Capital and and participated in raising a private equity fund focusing on European mid-caps. With FR2 he launched and managed a JV retail business in Russia and was the MD of a fashion business in The Netherlands. Vivek holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Delhi University, is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and earned his MBA from INSEAD.

Churchgate (Marathi: चर्चगेट) is an area in downtown South Mumbai (formerly Bombay). The local station gets its name from Church Gate street (now Veer Nariman Road) which lies just south of the station. During the 18th and up to the mid 19th century, Bombay was a walled city with three gates; Church Gate, named after St. Thomas Cathedral in Mumbai was one of the gates.
